Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in South-Western Uganda and is part of Bwindi Impenetrable forest, it covers an area of 321 square kilometers. This ancient Rain-forest is the home to half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of these gentle giants is considered to be the most exciting wildlife encounter in Africa, and possibly, the world; humans and Gorillas share 94.8% of the same genetic makeup. This national park also provides habitant to 120 mammal species, 348 species of birds, 202 species of butterflies, 163 species of trees, 104 species of ferns and 1000 flowering plants.

The main activity in Bwindi is Gorilla tracking. There are 4 trailheads in Bwindi for Gorilla tracking which lead to other attractions such as rivers, waterfalls, and swamps-all of which have a high level of wildlife concentration. Bwindi is divided into different sectors each with a number of gorilla families. The sectors are Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, and Rushaga sector.
Other activities that are offered in Bwindi National Park are forest-guided nature walks, community walks; cultural encounters birding and Mountain Biking.
